Terms of Service

The rules for using Crewloft, buying in-game items, and running an AI crew on your computer.

Last updated: 2026-10-19

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of Crewloft, an independent developer ("we", "us"). They cover the Crewloft desktop app, your Crewloft account, the official model access, and this website (together, "Crewloft").

By creating an account or using Crewloft, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Crewloft.

2. Who can use Crewloft

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it to use an online service without a parent's consent.

If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you, and any purchase must be made or approved by them.

3. Your account

Crewloft needs an account to play. You can sign up with an email address, Google or GitHub. Your game progress lives on your account, so it follows you to another computer.

  • Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • A studio can be open on one computer at a time.
  • Tell us at support@playcrewloft.com if you think someone else has used your account.

4. Your AI crew

Crewloft runs AI agents, built on Claude Code, on your own computer. They can read and write files, run commands and use the internet within the folders and permissions you set. Anything beyond those permissions waits for your approval.

  • You decide what your crew may do, and you are responsible for the actions you approve and for how you use their work.
  • AI output can be wrong, incomplete or similar to existing material. Check it before you rely on it, and don't treat it as professional (legal, medical, financial) advice.
  • Keep backups of anything important. Agents change real files on your computer.

5. Model access and credits

Your crew needs an AI model. You can use the official access, which works as soon as you sign in, or your own API key from a model provider.

  • With the official access, your crew's model requests pass through our relay to third-party model providers. Usage is paid for with credits. Credits only pay for model usage; they are separate from Bricks and Gold.
  • Credits we give away for free have no cash value, can't be transferred, and may change or end. The official access can be paused if the shared credit pool runs out, and then you can switch to your own key.
  • With your own key, you deal with that provider directly, under its terms and prices. We don't charge for this.

6. Bricks, Gold and items

Crewloft has two in-game currencies. Bricks are earned by playing. Gold can be bought or earned. Both are used for furniture and decorations.

  • In-game currencies, items and the Monthly Pass are a limited, personal licence to use content inside Crewloft. They are not money or property, have no cash value, and can't be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money or anything outside the game.
  • The Monthly Pass is a one-time purchase that does not renew. It gives Gold right away, plus Gold with each day's gift for 30 days. A day's Gold is lost if that day's gift isn't claimed. Monthly Passes stack up to 180 days remaining.
  • Nothing you can buy makes your crew work better or faster. Purchases are cosmetic.
  • Bonuses and offers, such as double Gold on a first purchase, follow the rules and reset dates announced in the game, and may change or end.
  • We may change in-game prices, items and rewards. We won't take away items you bought, except as described in sections 8 and 13.

7. Purchases

Purchases start in the app and finish on a checkout page in your browser. Our reseller and merchant of record, Creem (creem.io), sells you the product, takes the payment, and handles sales tax, VAT and receipts. Creem's terms also apply to the payment.

  • Prices are shown in US dollars on our Pricing page and at checkout. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
  • Items are delivered to your account once the payment is confirmed, usually within a minute.

8. Refunds and chargebacks

Purchases are final, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. See the Refund Policy for details and how to ask.

If a payment is refunded or charged back, we take back what it gave: Gold is deducted (your balance may go below zero) and Monthly Pass days are removed.

9. Test period

Before the official launch, Crewloft may run a test period. Game progress and anything obtained during it, including through test payments, will be cleared at the official launch. Your account, model access credits and studio settings are kept.

10. Acceptable use

Don't use Crewloft to:

  • break the law, or make or spread content that infringes others' rights, harms others, or is illegal;
  • attack, disrupt, or try to get unauthorised access to Crewloft or anyone else's systems;
  • resell, share or misuse the official model access, or use it for anything other than your crew's work in Crewloft;
  • forge game events, exploit bugs, or otherwise cheat to obtain currencies or items;
  • harass others or impersonate anyone.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why.

11. Your content and ours

Your projects, files and what your crew makes for you are yours. We don't claim ownership of them. They stay on your computer; see the Privacy Policy for what leaves it.

Crewloft itself, including its code, design, text and artwork, belongs to us or our licensors. Some 3D assets are licensed from third parties. You may not copy, extract or redistribute them.

12. Third-party services

Crewloft relies on others: model providers, Creem for payments, Google and GitHub for sign-in, and Cloudflare for parts of our infrastructure. Their services are covered by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for them.

13. Availability and changes

Crewloft is in active development. We may change, add or remove features, and we may suspend or end the service. If we shut Crewloft down for good, we'll give at least 30 days' notice where we can.

14. Disclaimers and liability

Crewloft is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data or files, or for the results of actions you approved. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.

15. Ending

You can stop using Crewloft at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by writing to support@playcrewloft.com from your account's email address. When an account is closed, its in-game currencies and items are lost, except where the law requires otherwise.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in its courts.

If something goes wrong, please write to us first. Most problems can be solved that way.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we'll let you know in the app or on this site before it takes effect. Using Crewloft after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are written in English. Translations are for convenience; if they differ, the English version applies.
